this blog was created because i love to cook and fitness/nutrition is something i'm really passionate about. i needed somewhere to store (and share) my recipes. i've been on both ends of the spectrum when it comes to my weight and i have no interest in ever revisiting the heavier and unhealthy version of myself.
it is my opinion that we get one shot at this thing called life and one body during the process. live accordingly.
i'm not a nutritionist (yet) or a personal trainer (yet) but, i've gone through the process of losing weight more times than i'd like to admit so maybe i know a thing or two.
me at my heaviest weight on the left and on the right, a more recent picture of myself finally mustering up the courage to wear a two-piece for the first time in 10 years and after three pregnancies. perfectly imperfect and proud of myself.
since i've taken control of my health i've completed two full marathons, several 1/2 marathons and smaller races. exercising is an integral part of my life and i am so grateful for all of the people in my life who share the same goals and passions as i do. so many wonderful friendships have been formed along the way and i am so lucky to have people who i can share these passions with.
